In Kurdish and Persian mythology, according to a legend the ironworker who brings spring is called ‘Kawa'. There was a ironworker, named ‘Kawa' living under a very very cruel Assyrian king named ‘Dehak'. The king was a full monster and there were two snakes on his shoulders to legend. To feed these two snakes, the king caused to bring two children to the palace as victims then he had cooks to kill children and served their brains to the snakes as meals. At the same time, the king also prevented spring to come. Finally, Armayel and Garmayel, the two men who tired of this persecution and wanted to do something to stop it, succeed to enter the palace's kitchen as cooks then they killed one of the children and helped the other to escape secretly from the palace. So they provided to save a child ever day by giving other's brain to the snakes mixing it with a sheep's brain. This is believed to be the ancestors of the kurds of the children fleeing and the fleeing children are brought into an army trained in secret by the ironworker called Kawa. Thus an army led by Kawa, walked out to the cruel king's palace on a 20 March and Kawa succeed to kill the king with hammer blows. Kawa made fire all the hills around and they celebrated it. So that the people got rid of the cruel king and the next day spring comes.[1]

Kurds who live in North of Iraq with Persians, Arabs and Turks, absolutely believed on the similar spring that would come when the American invasion began on the morning of March 20, 2003. The same belief even had effects on the Kurd organizations in Turkey, Iran and Syria. The one who expressed it clearly is PKK which is known its attacks against to Turkey and also located in the U.S. terrorism list. On 21 January 2002, the organization was urging U.S. to intervention to Iraq and also promised to co-operation with a letter sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that was signed by Mustafa Karasu, member of the PKK Presidential Council:
1- Because of the intervention to Iraq will affect to other regimes in the region, PKK will give full support to it.
2- PKK will cooperate on all matters for the development of democracy in the region.
3- According to PKK, the solution of the Kurdish Problem is democratization of regimes not to abolition of states. The establishment of democratic regimes in Turkey, Syria and Iran provides the participation of Kurds to central and local power, Kurdish education, gaining the possibility of cultural development, recognition of human rights then democratic solution will be realized while maintaining unity of the democratic countries. As a result of free elections in Iraq, a federal solution based on the state administrative system will be in place. They will provide a solution to a status of federal recognition of the Kurds in the Kurdish issue. Four piece of the problem (Turkey, Iraq, Iran, and Syria) to be resolved in relation to each other, things much easier.

TIME FOR IRAN / IRAN'S TURN

The priority on those days for Washington was Iraq; the expectations regarding the other three parts were frozen. But now the situation is completely different. Because, American troops have being pulled back and Iran issue have been becoming settle in the first place on the list. Of course, PKK was in contact with the American security intelligence officials since the beginning. Even the photographs which were taken at the negotiations in the North of Iraq, published by the respected Turkish newspapers [2]. Turkish intelligence and military units sent their concerns on the issue to their American ‘allies'. However, the organization has already begun to implement the nine suggestions which took place in the letter that sent to the State Department by them. One of them is to replace the name; it had changed its name before the occupation of Iraq. It gave open support to the occupation. During this time PKK did not attack to Turkey but it began to stir with the year of 2005. The attacks were still increased in the last three years, until they declared a unilateral cease-fire in August. Go to referendum for constitutional amendment process, led by Erdogan, the Turkish government, the cease- fire decision has strengthened his hand. The expectation of PKK is a new constitution reform that gives certain guarantees to the Kurds.

SPY BUILDUP

When Ankara is looking for the methods to disarm the PKK, Washington sits on the table with different targets. According to intelligence reports, the U.S. has attempted to use the PKK against Iran. The contacts that provided with the PKK before the invasion, re-established. Interviews often realized in Barzan, Lamp and Şaklava. Because Iran has been started to become a burning issue for Washington and Tel Aviv. So regime change is inevitable. If it fails, the option in the table is ‘battle'. It is the reason of the speediness in the Afghanistan and beginning to withdraw remaining troops from Iraq to the north [3]. Along the Iraq-Iran border the operational CIA and MOSSAD agents in the land were increased doubled within the last month. The cities of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah near the Iranian border remind Casablanca in a time. In lobbies of hotels, trade fairs, restaurants; posing as business men, journalists or NGO representatives there are 1200 agents in the field. Agents, as well as PKK, in the north of Iraq are in contact with the People's Mujahedin of Iraq and the Iranian side of the sleeper cells of PJAK. These units will organize attacks primarily targeted at security forces. Then people are preparing for large-scale strategic sabotage. In this sense, the first attack took place on October 7 in the evening. The attack carried out in the city of Sanandaj in Iranian Kurdistan by cells in conjunction with the CIA. In Azadi Square, the most crowded place in the city as the target of the attack, five people killed and four of them were security guards. Iran target of such attacks will be increased.

The same situation is also true in Lebanon. Because it attaches great importance to the link between Iran and Hezbollah, Israel has been activating the remaining in the past units of PKK. Because PKK was directed by the main camp in Bekaa and there are some minor elements between the people involved in Lebanon. These units are spying for Hezbollah in Lebanon and the connections between Syria and Iran. Within the scope of the operations launched in the first week of September, in Jounieh, a seaside city north of Beirut, Lebanese capital far from about 20 miles, three members of PKK captured because of "carrying out spy activities for Israel". Mossad in conjunction with other PKK members, because of the operation area, fled to the Bekaa and the Syrian Qamishli.

The interview that made by Israel television channel-2 with Murat Karayılan, the actual managers of the PKK, in the three miles away headquarter from Iran is a part of the process. In the statement that Karayılan made for Israel Television Channel-2, he sent a clear message to Tel Aviv: "Turkey, Iran and Syria are common enemies for Israel and PKK. Our enemies are the enemies of Israel too." [4]

TURKEY'S DILEMMA

Turkey is forced to make a choice between terrorism and a process which is completely opposite to its relationships with regional countries such as Iran, Syria, Lebanon. Because Turkey is faced to the option for the end of the internal terrorism with the exchange of using PKK against to Iran. Turkey carried out a dizzying diplomacy in Ankara so that Ministers, diplomats and the Turkish secret service chief, seems to focus on this issue alone. Before the constitutional referendum held in September 12 and ending with the victory of Erdoğan, Turkish secret service (MIT) Undersecretary Hakan Fidan's secret meeting with the PKK's jailed leader was accepted by the government and suggestive language. After the meeting PKK announced its decision to extend the ceasefire anyway.

In this process, MIT Undersecretary Hakan Fidan, secretly went to Baghdad for talks with his counterpart in Iraq. So Fidan's first overseas visit to Iraq, meeting with the head of the intelligence of the central government perceived as a sign of growing photo. Because Fidan, made contacts with CIA Director Leon E. Fares Panetta and other intelligence officials in US on September. During these contacts, Fidan got a briefing from CIA and especially pointed out in the case of the PKK and the Iran issues. The Turkish Secret Service chief, returning to Ankara gave information to Erdogan and explained Washington's approach.

BARGAINING

Turkey wants the liquidation of the organization in exchange for making a variety of constitutional rights to Kurdish people. But the priority of US is very different. The bargaining in the table with the exchange of using PKK against to Iran, the titles is as follows:

- Regulate the PKK attacks against Turkey and the armed men to leave the territory of Turkey.
- In militant training camps such as Mahmur in Northern Iraq, Kurdish citizens of Turkey to return without fear of being judged.
- In Turkey, especially including BDP members mayors, general amnesty removal.
- Turkey's offer constitutional guarantees to Kurdish people.
- PKK's living in safe camps on Iraq- Iran border.
- Turkey not no impose the gas deal with Iran
- Sale of Iraq oil and gas through Turkey to the world

The most important stop of the bargaining within last month the city of Erbil in Iraq. While Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkey who is responsible for the Kurdish expansion, visited to Erbil suddenly, Turkish Secret Service Undersecretary went to the same city after a couple days indicates that how much bargaining becoming hot. In this process it can be said that some symbolic steps inside are taken by Ankara. Among them Abdullah Ocalan, Murat Karayılan, Cemil Bayik and Kesire Ocalan such as the leading staff with 117 defendants in the case of the PKK, fell to timeout by the decision of Ankara 8th High Criminal Court in the last week of September. Defendants had been judging with execution because the guilt of breaking state's constitution and significant order, establishing armed gang against to state's safety and murdering intentionally. 30-year time-out exactly attributed to decision in this period.

THE BIG PICTURE

All of these factors in the rat race that triggered the political economy should not be ignored. Because, for the Nabucco, the natural gas project which aims to carry natural gas to Europe from Iran, Iraq and Caspian Sea, international companies have lined up. All EU countries and Russia are closely related area of the project going through the most critical line of the bargain. It makes the Kurdish problem a new subject of international negotiations.

In 13 July 2009, the Nabucco pipeline project began with an agreement signed, BOTAS (Turkey), Bulgargas (Bulgaria), Transgas (Romania), MOL (Hungary), OMV (Austria) and RWE (Germany) companies take place in the construction part. It thought to carry 31 billion cubic meters of natural gas pipeline in 2020, the total cost of 4.1 billion Euros.

The most critical part of the Nabucco project is passing through Turkey. Because Turkey is a critical point regarding the transmission of natural gas resources that EU trying to reach. The path of the pipeline going through Turkey's troubled region. All the points under the threat of terrorism in the region of Turkey push Turkey to joining the lines. For Washington - because they want to reduce Europe's dependence on Russia and neutralize Iran- the project is vitally important. The line will be secured if PKK's attack against to Turkey interrupts.
Until now, within the Nabucco Project no future based, purchasing natural gas agreement signed. However, there is a huge investment made by energy companies. Finally, the German energy giant RWE, through the transfers of the Nabucco natural gas in the region with Iraq, KRG has signed an agreement for the necessary infrastructure.

Turkey's effort with signed natural gas pipeline project agreement to become a serious energy corridor in international area seems to give results on paper. However, international forces against all the factors destabilizing the situation in Turkey meant to show less tolerance should not be forgotten. Europeans not trust the Iraq gas and a fully commercially viable approach to Iran warmer should also keep in mind.

LESSON OF KAWA

The opinion for the solution of Middle East passes through democratization is valid and find solutions to the problems instead of the weapons but contacts is also important, of course. But the tactics for designing the region with far from forces' that have ambitions in Middle East bats instead of its own dynamics, sees response. Kurdish people need to read their history again, if they think that they reach the solution exchange of condensation ruining of neighboring people. Snakes stand on whose shoulders and whose children are sacrificing to them?
